January '08: Week 4 (with Janie McCauley)
It's a crazy week in Nor Cal Pro Sports — and the Pod has it all! In-season, off season — Nor Cal boasts some surprise successes... and more than one news item straight out of left field. Plus, Associated Press columnist Janie McCauley checks in about all things baseball, from Barry Bonds, Teammate to tales of the Olympics and World Baseball Classic.
The Warriors lead this week's news, bringing back the man who brought them down. Chris Webber and Don Nelson reportedly turn back the clock to their trial by fire. Does Webber help, or hurt, the exciting Warriors' chances?
The Raiders drop a bombshell, with deafening whispers of Coach Kiffin's imminent demise. If someone tells you you resign, aren't you actually fired? And, is there anyone in sports crazier than aging honcho Al Davis?
The Sacramento Kings find themselves back at full strength, and better yet, positioned to make a winner of Coach Theus a lot sooner than expected;
The A's Fanfest offers a chance to get up close and personal with the field, the players, the spring. But are the lackluster crowds a sign of tough times to come, or are the A's players themselves right to expect their young guns to thrive?
Plus, the Giants practice addition by subtraction, as the player you love to hate departs for a city that loves to boo.
Jess and Lex get it sorted for you and your loved ones, on the Nor Cal Pro Sports Pod!
UP NEXT: The lads hold court with none other than the reigning NHL MVP, Sharks forward Joe Thornton. Big Joe shares his thoughts on everything from dating to plane travel — oh, and even hockey. Plus, the football front offices continue to discard the textbook, the A's and Giants play winter fix-it, and the basketball teams look to maintain their winning ways.

When we started the show, it was "Jess and Lex" -- a little more anonymous. Now that we're using last names, maybe it rings a little different. But various friends, and family, have always called me Jess. Consider yourself part of the inner circle.

Hey Jess & Lex
I just wanted to say what a great podcast this is to find on iTunes. I am a big Oakland A's and SF 49ers fan from downunder Australia. It is fantastic to be able to a single source of information for my bay area teams to listen to on my MP3 player in the car on the way to work. Keep it up...and go the A's, Billy Beane has done it again!!
